State and Federal Incentives Help You Get Connected

Whether you own a home or a business, state rebates and federal tax credits make clean solar energy more affordable than ever. To qualify for Florida's incentive funds your system must be installed by a Florida licensed electrical contractor or CV certifed solar professional.

Below is a brief description of the primary incentives available. Also, take a look at the Executive Summary of the Key Provisions Benefiting the Solar Energy Industry in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Solar Electricity (PV)

TThe purchase of photovoltaic systems covered under the Florida Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Efficiency Act qualifies the consumer to receive a substantial rebate. The rebate is based on the manufacturer’s power output rating of the modules. The amount is $4.00 per Watt with a cap of $20,000 for residential photovoltaic systems and a $100,000 cap for commercial, publicly owned, or private not-for-profit photovoltaic systems.  In addition, there is a federal income tax credit of 30% of the total system cost, for both commercial and residential solar power systems, both grid-tie and off-grid, with no capped maximum. Some businesses may also be eligible to take accelerated depreciation.

There is also a property tax exemption available as well in the State of Florida.  Please contact us directly to discuss rebates available for photovoltaic installs in the state of Florida
